English people sometimes use an idiom:
"No pain, no gain". (Aðrý yoksa, kazaným da yok)
When I learned that idiom, it seemed very enthusiastic to my poor logic.
When we consider a mother who just delivered a baby, she has suffered a lot of pains before and during birth and finally she gained a baby.
Yes, "no pain, no gain" reflects the truth. We muslims should not escape from tough actions and calamities in the way directed to Paradise. Instead, we should be thankful to our Lord for the calamities that donate us with higher grades for watching the Beauty of the Enduring One.
